Remind Me Again
I am a bit down lately kaya di muna ako nagsulat ng blog. I tend to get emotional whenever I'm feeling ahuumph.
But then I remember, the reason why I did blogging is for me to release all canned feelings so I could move on with life, with the shift, with the change.
Now, I'm trying to get employed. Online.
Super miss ko na mag work. I feel down kasi, i'm trying to be the same Nelle. I nag myself always - E hindi nga ganun yon. May changes kaya may mga bagay na nakakapanibago.
eto na naman ako, Remind me again why I resigned.
1. Liam.
2. Miguel.
My kids need a full time caregiver, taga alaga, tagabantay ng bawat kailangan nila, and a setup that is permanent, not the type na one week, sa parents ni Mike, next sa parents ko naman. Remember how Kuya got confused with dealing with this setup and he went to silent kid to super hyper, just to get our attention. He did. This is why I am a full time mommy now.
BUT I MISS WORK!!
Work as in corporate slave. I am too used to that setup, my system is yelling, WTF.
Online Job, yeah sa bahay naman ako, pero it takes away a chunk of my time with my kids na super demanding pa sa attention ko. Kakapagod nga itong work ko ngayon kesa nasa office ako. Drained na yata ako.
And then, while contemplating, my hubby, Mike went home from work, he checked if Im feeling better. Parang miss na miss niya ako. Aba, oo nga ano? dati don't get to check on each other's day kasi we're both still thinking about the job we left off for the day.
And also by the time he got home the kids have already eaten, cleaned up ready for bed or playtime with daddy. When dati, ito pa lang yung moment na we will fetch them from lola or we will see the kids na lang on the end of the week.
Before, when we fetch the kids are asleep na or too drained na sa maghapong laro ng gadget, which I really really don't want my kids to be doing the whole day, but what choice do I have e parents namin yung nagalaga, we can't demand that much.
Ngayon, my husband is so happy to get home quick because our bunso and kuya are home waiting and are so happy to see daddy, at ako naman, kahit na pagod, would feel recharged because, this is what I picture my home will be full of laughter and playful banters... not the tired, deadma- muna-tayo-talk-to-you later scene.
Then I was reminded.
I resigned because I don't want to give my children just some percentage. I did this thing because I want 100% of me for them while they're still young. What I'm doing now, is a sacrifice for my career life, but a big plus for my children's childhood. In the future they will only remember the time I have made them happy, make everything feel secure and okay at home, play with them, prepare their meals, clean up their playful mess, guide them with their homework etc. Their play, sleep, waking hours is with a parent and that I am with them every step of their struggling itty weeny years.
Now I feel better na. Kids are such a joy talaga. I hope every home have one, they make a big difference talaga.
Happiness to everyone!

Brownout Diaries
OMG!
Clicked open our main switch upon returning from fetching my son from school.
huh? none.
There you go again, no electricity
checked our neighbors, hala! they have electricity?!?
Naputulan kami?
Nasira switch ko?
It turns out this is another glitch on the electric post ours are in line with.
This is a dilemma, for a mom whose sons are agitated on hot rooms.
Heat escape... like a bulb light switched on, my head goes yep, this are what malls are for.
SM San Lazaro here we come. snugged my baby and kuya and mustered my strength for a half day adventure at the mall, without my hubby, with the two likot kids and a big bag of what-nots in case of sudden baby emergency.
First Stop. Rent a stroller - Jolo's Kiddie Cart rental (since no hubby around, cant bring my own)
Jolo's Kiddie cart rental is the only rent a ride for kiddos in SM San Lazaro, what I like about them is that I actually saw how they sanitize their carts after every return or use, and you will find it evident when you touch the carts or strollers, no yucky remnants of the past user.
I am satisfied also with the assistance provided by staff with securing the kid on the cart, the introduction of the cart parts, in case the customer is not familiar with the locks and the reclining seats etc.and for giving proper reminder on their time limits. A+ compared to the rental we have mistaken for Jolo's in SM North. At Php180 only for unlimited ride whole day at the mall.
I do have a bad experience in SM North with, I suppose from another cart rental, since all the opposite of how I find Jolo's above are theirs, no need to name them now, that is how disappointed I was, even my bunso feels uncomfortable in their stroller, that I was forced to carry him more than once. breakbacking day for paying Php200 on their yucky ride.
Second on the itinerary - SM Supermarket
ahaha, this is odd, kids to the groceries for the itinerary.
Well since we left in a hurry and from the dark, I wasnt able to bring with my baby's bag his essentials such as nibbles and drinks.
I love shopping here, more organized and not too huge for me to roam around (too much would mean cramped arms and legs for mommies with kids tagged along). Items are stacked in the best places too!
easy to find, easy to grab.
Third Stop. McDonalds
Syempre, my 4 year old is already clamoring for his favorite french fries, nothing else but McDo's
since he will be the only one to eat the fries, we lined up on their dessert / take out station na lang.
This branch is crammy, kaya di na lang din kami nag attempt pumasok to eat. The stroller wont fit in any partitions among the table setup!
Neexxxt .. SM Storyland!
My kuya loves coming here. although there is nothing much to enjoy here but kiddie rides, as a mommy of two little boys, i like it like this, better for my kids, preventing them to be swarmed by game console noises. These days, Storyland is purely for kiddo rides, like the train ride, the carousel, the space shuttle and the mini kiddie rides You know the kind that needs a token, to make a plane or a car go back and forth and make your kid sway :) (Php 5.00 serves as tokens for these rides, no need to buy at the ticket booth). Oh, they also have entertainment booth for teens (xbox, videoke booths, basketball wii etc.)
Of course, bunso also needs his time with mommy, after Kuya had all his fun, we went straight to the SM Breastfeeding station for some privacy and lights out for a better afternoon nap of my little one.
Thumbs up to SM Malls for providing this nook for breastfeeding moms. I personally frequented this place even if I brought with me a feeding cover. Such the comfort of sitting in a couch with the option to turn off the lights so my baby can feel secured and away from the hustle of the mall goers and rolling eyes of naysayers. This is why I better go to SM than any mall when Im with my baby. A big relief talaga. SM Breastfeeding station in SM San Lazaro is situated inside their mall clinic, like in SM MOA. A kind nurse on duty will greet you and have your name signed in a logbook and leave the spacious room to you and your baby. although bawal ipasok ang stroller sa loob ng breastfeeding room, they will allow naman to have it parked inside the clinic under their watchful eye.
I suddenly remembered I need to check in my receipts for the SM Shop and Win Raffle, so off we go queue the line for the entry booth. Buti na lang I purchased an Eplus card that instantly doubles my entry.
Here's crossing my finger please please Lord, let me win.. Pang pamana ko na sa mga kids ko.lol!
Gutom na after breastfeeding and the queue. Pero di pa dinner time, so since nasa ground floor kami, at di pala nakapaglunch, puro snacks lang, Opted to dine at Tokyo Tokyo.. wrong move. :( Not happy with their service talaga, lagi na lang.
Oh well, to appease my sons, wewent to Toy Kingdom. Of course, enjoyed every minute of it, kahit pa maliit lang ang space nila as part of the SM Department Store 3rd level.
After the fun trials of toys in Toy Kingdom, we got hungry again. so dinner na pala,
Where else to go, nowhere but our favorite eating place in SM San Lazaro,Max's Restaurant!
We super frequent this place, not having the courage to experiment with my picky eater, Kuya just love their sarap to the bones chicken. While mommy and daddy loves their hospitable service. We feel eating right at home, without me having to go to the kitchen for second servings (hah!)
We waited for daddy here for almost an hour, but the patient waiters served as his proxy whenever i need anything, because daddy would be my go-get-that guy of course if he is around. So we ordered their usual here and like every visit, we are so happy we don't think twice eating here everytime we go to this SM Mall.
Well, from time to time, we ask if electricity is back in our house, thank God, by 9pm, the lights are back and we can go home na.
Thank God, am still able to muster myself to even walk, such a tiring never ending walk the mall day, just because MERALCO could not solve the wiring problem in our place... oh well, all in a day's (mis)ADVENTUREs. TC!

August is Breastfeeding month
I have been breastfeeding my second son, since birth (and now mix feeding at 12 months), he still prefers to latch on me rather than feed on a bottle especially before, during and after sleep. It is that mixed of not-so-special yet not-so-ordinary sentiment that breastfeeding mothers' would agree.
Being a mother it is but natural to address the basic need of your child to feed, but when you hold your child close to your bossom, and hug him the closest to your heart, you would feel that special bond that could not compare to anything you have already done in your lifetime.
This month, to fellow breastfeeding moms out there, we celebrate one of our most noble duty as a mother. Congratulations for keeping true to our goal to give our child the very best. Just by choosing to breastfeed, we are like warriors of our generation waging war against malnutrition, chemical feeding and non-organic nourishment, these and all the great benefits of breastfeeding, the hope of the possibility that our child may contribute to a better future is not an illusion no more.
Just sharing some of the activities in Manila, click the link below for full details:

Me, A Full Time Mom ?!?
Whoa! Big Word.
Still struggling to casually repeat the word to myself. FULL TIME MOM
I have worked my butt since i was fourteen, been my mother's handmaid since 6 years old and literally take work like its the next natural thing to breathing.
And then it struck me, this is also a profession. A profession beyond what we normal corporate slaves call "Work".
Yep, being a mom is not a joke. It requires you to combine your technical know-how with your acts guided by your gut-feel moves.
I know i don't do much revealing my daily life to my friends, relatives and close kin. So why blog?
Because i need it now, just to keep me sane from my daily mishaps as a mom at home. Plus, blaming my three survived operations (CS) I think a bit of me is being neuro-erased and writing my moments will help me serve my memory failure reboot in the future. Facebook helps, yes, but I just find it too limited a space to write about even a new found or invented recipe.
When years back, I shunned the thought of telling both unknown and familiar people of my experiences, can't believe am now signing in to unfold my daily ways, drama and laugh-nots, for the sake of new beginnings. So here, am just gonna write about what I do about my work as a servantless, all-around mom (and wife), and this I think would be my Life beyond Work Chronicles.
Blogging away,
Mamy Nelle
